I have been crocheting for about four years now. So I’m not a beginner by any means. But the videos show exactly how to make each flower. This kit is really amazing. I don’t know who came up with this idea, but it’s great. Not only is it fun to do but it’s also very pretty and the price is very reasonable.

This is one of many crochet kits I have ordered from Amazon over the last several months. Each time these kits say "beginner". I keep waiting to really find a "beginner" kit-- and as you can guess this one wasn't either.That said, I am a seasoned crochet crafter- for the past 3 years. This crochet kit was nice in that it came with ample supplies, decent quality yarn, a decent hook, & was nicely packaged. After you get beyond that, the directions were really something to be deciphered and I am not confident at all a beginner would be able to follow along. There is a video link you can follow (I did not personally check that out), but then you have to really know your stitches.I would recommend this kit for the more experienced crochet artist who has conquered the stitches required for this project. The final result is really adorable & the kit is fun to make. I will be gifting mine to my Mom who is residing in skilled nursing to brighten her room, so it is a really nice kit to make for someone as a gift. It has a "wow!" factor to it when it's finished because it does look so impressive when it is al dome and together. Also, the kit itself would be a great gift idea to give toy our favorite crochet artist!Overall, a really nice kit for the price point for a more than "beginner" crochet crafter. Would definitely recommend.

This is a challenging project. My daughter is only just learning to crochet, but once she got the hang of it, she managed to do two flowers. She was so proud of them. This gave her quality skills she needed to learn crochet. Before this, she didn't get it so I would recommend it.

I'm taking my time with this kit. Each flower is an exquisite delight. I'm not even sure I'm going to do the whole bouquet, and that's what I love about it. You can do the whole thing. You can do part of it. You can do a single blossom. You can take these instructions and apply them to many different flower projects. I love that. No pressure. Beginners, in my opinion, need to see some concrete results rather quickly to remain inspired, and this does just that. Granny squares are great, but having to do fifty of them before you even have a project can get tedious. Why yes, I am working on a granny square project. And yes, I'm still something of a beginner. So mixing the challenge of this kit with the tedium of learning muscle memory keeps it fun and reminds me why I took up this craft.All that aside, they give you plenty of yarn, the video instructions are fantastic, and it should be fun. However, make sure you or the person you're giving this to, realizes that the written instructions alone will not achieve the desired result. I've tried several of these kits, and I'm on the hunt for one where the video is not necessary. So far, that has not eventuated. Make sure you watch the video or frustration will ensue. I should probably take a star off for that, but I'm enjoying the kit so much, I cannot bear to ding it even if it might deserve it.

So far it's looking very pretty. Definitely not for beginners the instructions are well explained but some steps are hard. I did mess up more than once. But I'm still a beginner. But I feel the bouquet is more of a medium/advanced. But the colors are light pastel and seem pretty decent size.
